San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee
The Honorable Edwin M. Lee, Mayor of San Francisco, has presented KWMF with a Proclamation declaring June 25, 2014 to be “Korean War Memorial Day in San Francisco”. Mayor Lee has consistently been a strong supporter of veterans and veterans’ issues. As The Mayor states in the Proclamation, “We must work to make sure that all of our veterans returning home get the services they deserve and that all those heroes who have paid the price of our freedom with their lives are never forgotten.” KWMF’s officers are now deciding what ceremony will best commemorate that date. The results of the decision will be announced soon.
